What is Nodejs?


Nodejs is a JavaScript runtime web application framewok built on Google Chrome's V8 JavaScript engine.

JavaScript runtime allows to execute a JavaScript code on any OS / machine outside a browser.

Due to JavaScript runtime of Nodejs, now JavaScript can be used in server side programming.

Node.js uses an event-driven, non-blocking I/O model.

Nodejs provides rich libraries of various JavaScript modules for the development of web applications.

Nodejs is used with the combination of JavaScript runtime and JavaScript libraries.

Node.js was developed by Ryan Dahl in 2009.
