What is some in JavaScript

What is some in JavaScript

some is a array helper method in es6 version of JavaScript.

It is used to check the array if it contains any value which passes the given condition.

It returns in true/false only.

It does not change the original array.

var ages = [2, 4, 7, 10];
function gtEq4(val) {
  return val >= 4;

It breaks the loop, as it finds any value which passes the condition and does not checks the remaining values of array.

It does not execute the function for array elements without any values.

array.some(function(currentValue, index, arr), thisValue)

currentValue The value of the current element (Required)
index         The array index of the current element (Optional)
arr         The array object the current element belongs to (Optional)

thisValue       A value to be passed to the function to be used as its "this" value.
If this parameter is empty, the value "undefined" will be passed as its "this" value (Optional)
