Steps to Install Angular

Summary: In this article, you will step by step learn how to install the Angular .

Before starting, we should have the following prerequisites need to run an angular application:

Node js : 

Node js is a server environment used to run typescript on it for Angular.

Node js is need to be installed first on your machine.

node -v      //to check the node version 
After installing nodejs , we will get a global command "npm" (Nodejs Package manager)

npm -v       //to check the npm version 
npm is used to manage the packages used in the application.

Angular-CLI : 

We need angular CLI, if we want to setup an application with commands in the easiest way.

npm install -g @angular/cli
After installing global, we will get a global command "ng" which will help to run CLI commands.

ng new             (to generate a project scaffolding)
ng generate    (to generate component, service, modules...)
ng serve           (to run the application on localhost with 4200 port in default)
ng test            (to run the test environment)
ng lint            (to run the words spelling check)

Webpack dev server : 

If we don't use angular-cli, we need to setup webpack dev server manually to run your application on any port.  


You will need an IDE to run your code base, So you can use any one IDE as your ease, like VS Code.
